Ryan entered the insurance industry 2003, as a direct writer for a large national carrier. While there, Ryan specialized in Workers Compensation and Proactive Risk Management. Prior to joining Power Group, Ryan opened up a Kansas City branch for a regional brokerage firm.
Ryan takes pride in identifying potential risks and exposures that can impact an organization’s bottom line. Some of Power Groups specialties include; risk transfer, risk avoidance through proactive loss control and aggressive claims handling. Once the exposure has been identified, Ryan specializes in implementing the fix, and quantifiably measuring the outcome. Reducing the customer’s Total Cost of Risk is our main objective.
Power Group also specializes in the 831b, a non-traditional approach to captives. With the 831b, our customers are able to self insure non-traditional exposures through the Power Group’s Enterprise Risk Starategie’s Captive. In policy years with limited or no losses, customers benefit with the liquidation of the captive at capital gains rates, as well as investment income.
Ryan is a graduate of Kansas State University. He enjoys supporting his alma mater and attends events regularly. Ryan lives in Overland Park, KS with his wife Andrea.
