Fred has been a leader in the field of risk management for more than 40 years. He formed Embry-Welsh & Co., a Property & Casualty risk management firm, in 1965. In 1975, Fred sold the firm to Stenhouse Companies Ltd., a Scottish Insurance firm He stayed with the firm as Vice President until 1983, specializing in corporate risk management and alternative risk programs for both national and regional accounts.
In 1983, Fred joined Ireland Insurance as a producer. In August 1988, he purchased Ireland Insurance and formed Embry and Company, a boutique property & casualty and employee benefits firm with clients throughout the U.S.
Fred sold Embry & Company in 2006, remaining with the firm as a consultant until joining Power Group in 2008.
